Sustainability

Children are the most important thing in our lives. They are our responsibility as parents and as suppliers of children's clothing. That is why we want to partake in the responsibility for the lives of children and the world in which all children grow up. Our company was founded in 1946. Ever since then, we have focused on having a foundation of quality and accountability.

This means that areas such as social responsibility and environmental consideration also are given high priority at Brands4kids. That is why we make demands of ourselves and on our suppliers, not least.

Products

In our product development, we prioritise high quality, safety and the least possible impact on the environment; without compromising on design and price. We ensure this by constantly seeking the best possible alternative manufacturing processes and materials.

In this way, the collections reflect our responsible starting point. Amongst others, our focus on the working conditions of all employees in our production chain, our focus on the children who play and love to wear our clothes, and on the reusability of our products.

Greener initiatives

Our own standards and requirements of our suppliers are high and, in a number of areas, very comprehensive. We invest important resources in international certifications that provide security - for parents, for our partners and for ourselves.

We always place high priority on sustainability and quality in our design process when choosing between qualities and applying for certifications; organic cotton, STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® and GOTS markings. We are proud to be a GOTS-certified company, where all members of the value chain must meet the stringent requirements of social and environmental responsibility in order to be GOTS-certified. We are always focused on increasing the number of GOTS-certified styles in our collections.

Recycling

Another approach to sustainability is the use of recycled materials. We have intensified our efforts and the development of recycled products. This is implemented in a range of our outerwear products, made from recycled plastics to protect the environment. Also, an "extended size" has been added to some of the outerwear in the recycle range where the life span is extended to allow the children to grow in the clothing and use it for a longer period.

Animal welfare is also of great importance to us as we use merino wool in our wool collection. This means that we only use wool from farms that do not use mulesing and we ensure that the sheep are treated properly.

At Brands4kids, sustainability is also about creating products of such good quality that they can be used - every day and yet have a long useful life.
